What you get
Three levels. The first one is written.
Level 1 · The syllabus
Ten modules, written.
By the end of Level 1 you’re measuring brakes, mounting and balancing tires, testing a charging system and running a complete oil service — on real cars, with a foreman checking your work.
Each module is a 60–90 second video, a self‑check, and something you do in the bay. Safety is the one hard gate: nothing else unlocks until it’s signed.
Underneath the ten
16 bankable competencies across 8 systems — safety, tools & measuring, fasteners, lifting, fluids & maintenance, tires & wheels, electrical, brakes, inspection and professionalism. Finish all eight and you’re exam‑ready for ASE Entry‑Level (Automobile) and logging toward G1.1
Already turning wrenches?
You don’t start at 01 because a page said so. A placement check puts you where you actually are, and the modules it clears land on your record as studied. Safety is still signed by a person.
- 01Don’t get hurt: shop safety, PPE & hazmat
- 02Your tools won’t lie to you: hand tools & precision measuring
- 03Why torque matters — and what a stripped bolt costs you
- 04Lift it without dropping it: hoisting & jacking
- 05The oil change done right (it’s not just oil)
- 06Tire & wheel service: mount, balance, TPMS
- 0712 volts won’t kill you, but a dead battery kills your day
- 08Brakes 101: pads, rotors & how to measure them
- 09The multi‑point inspection that makes you money — honestly
- 10Look like a pro: notes, comebacks & talking to your advisor
studied
You worked the lesson and passed the self‑check — or cleared it on the placement check. Either way it goes on your record the day you do it.

A mentor watched you do it on a real car, and the numbers from the real RO back it up. Written only at a store that runs Auto Expert.
Not a school. No accreditation, no tuition, no clock hours. It does not take the ASE test for you. It does not get you hired — it gives you something true to show the person who does the hiring, and a board where stores that run Auto Expert post their openings.

It’s yours. It leaves with you.
A list of true sentences about what you have done, with the date you did it. Export it or delete it whenever you want. Nothing is shared with a store unless you apply to it or choose to show it.
